On a pitch-dark night, a man walked round an alley and found there was no light. Later he saw approaching a dim light cast from the depth of the dark alley.
Surprisingly, it was a blind man holding a lantern , which made the man feel confused and ridiculous . Out of curiosity, the man asked Blind, "Excuse me, can you see me?"
"No. I have been blind since I came to this world." The blind man replied.
The man continued asking, "Since you can not see anything, why are you still holding a lantern?"
The blind man said, "So people will see the road."
"Why do you bother to do that? No one will appreciate of what you have done."
"Have you ever been run into by others on a dark night?"
The man said, "Yes. I was run into by two people just now."
The blind man smiled and said, "Even though I am blind and cannot see everything, I am holding a lantern in the dark so that I can illuminate others and in the meantime let others see me.Then they will not run into me due to the dark night."
To light up the lamp is not only for our own good, but to brighten others lives as well. And when we brighten up others, we will in turn, brighten up our own way too.
{Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.}
