BBQ (Part II) Remove all the oil from steaks and pre-heat your grill on high for 5-10 minutes. You don't need $5000 Viking fancy grills. I have a $250 Charbroil grill which does the same work as these fancy grills. Lay your streak on grill, close the lid and cook for four minutes and then flip over to cook another 4 minutes on the other side of streak.
Note: If your streak has too much fat, reduce the time to 2 minute and flip over. You have to flip over 4 times this way.
I have tried 4 high end steakhouses in DC area which are The Plam, Chris Ruth, Morton's steakhouse and Capital Grille. Morton has the best steaks in my humble opinions and I think my homemade steaks beat the other three restaurants.
